The Priceline team get happy with Grow Haircare

Grow Haircare is your go-to for a range of shampoos, conditioners, and treatments 100% dedicated to intuitively target hair thinning and stop fragile hair in its tracks. Read on to find out how Grow Haircare fared when out to the test by Priceline’s Sophie Ielasi.

Like many others I know, I’ve put my hair through so much over the years. I’ve dyed it (ALOT) from platinum blonde and back to brunette to blonde balayage. I take the hairdryer and straightener to it often (and easily forget to use the heat protector spray I KNOW I should use). Then recently with less than the desirable number of trips to the hairdresser thanks to Melbourne lockdown, my hair was left dull and lifeless with a touch of product build-up (I blame my complete laziness when it came to washing my hair and using dry shampoo as a bandaid.) I’d also noticed some significant breakage (too many top knots) and a little thinning (with thanks going to the stress of lockdown). Needless to say, when a package from Grow Haircare landed on my doorstep I was over the moon! Word had gotten around the virtual office about this revolutionary range of salon-quality products, and I couldn’t wait to turn things around and have soft, strong and silky hair again (and not to mention make my limp, dry hair a thing of the past).

So now you know where things were at with my not so luscious locks, let’s get down to the business end of things. Grow Haircare has engineered its everyday offering of shampoos, conditioners, and treatments to intuitively target hair thinning and stop fragile hair in its tracks. Besides what you can expect from these seriously nourishing products, here’s what we love about the brand…

  • ‘Grow’ is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves happier, healthier hair (PREACH!)

  • The entire collection is targeted towards nourishing scalp health and encouraging hair volume

  • It smells GREAT thanks to enriching ingredients like peppermint oil, aloe vera, jojoba, and avocado oil

  • ‘Grow’ is a natural, vegan, and cruelty-free haircare brand

  • It’s an Aussie made and owned brand

  • All ‘Grow’ products are paraben, sulfate, and silicone-free

  • Products start at $5.99 and max out at $16.99

Now you’ve got the low down on ‘Grow’ let’s talk about my top picks from this Aussie brand!

Stimulating Scalp Scrub

Now if you haven’t got on the Scalp Scrub bandwagon yet a) what have you even been doing, and b) add this to cart… immediately.

Now, this bad boy can be used to replace your shampoo on your scrub days, as it is formulated to deeply cleanse the scalp (without stripping any goodness), however, I love a good lather and had a significant amount of product build-up through the ends of my hair, so although I found this really cleansed the roots, my ends and hair at the back of my head needed the shampoo to finish the job. I’ve also gone from only washing my hair once a week to upping it to twice a week as I love a good sweat sesh, so have been just using the scrub for the first wash of the week, and find that this frequency has been just what the hairdresser ordered! Since adding scalp exfoliation into my routine, I can honestly say that my scalp feels much more balanced. It’s less itchy and the little bumps I’d been getting on my scalp for MONTHS have disappeared (I thought it was psoriasis, but my hairdresser informed me that my hair follicles just needed some unclogging). Not to mention my roots don’t seem to get oily as quickly when I include this in my wash routine! I do have to give a precursory warning though – you may experience some tingling because of the Peppermint Oil, but there is no cause for alarm, it’s gentle, cooling, super soothing and not to mention smells delicious (think candy canes!)

Longer Stronger Shampoo

Where do I start with this shampoo?! It truly does live up to its name. Since using this twice weekly, my hair is looking healthier, silkier, and feels so much stronger already. I’ve found this shampoo gives your hair a really decent cleanse, and after a couple of weeks of washes, I’ve found I have much less residual product in the ends and at the back of my hair. Now I couldn’t talk about this product without mentioning the scent. On first whiff I was instantaneously taken back to primary school birthday parties and overindulging on musk sticks. The combination of Peppermint Oil, Citrus Oils (Orange and Lime), and Rose Oils really brings home some nostalgic memories, and I am HERE for it! Now because this product is paraben and sulfate-free, it doesn’t suds up quite the same way as other shampoos do, but don’t take this as a sign of it not doing its job – it will absolutely still lather, however just doesn’t contain the ingredients that create the extreme suddsing effect of other Shampoos. If you really want some suds action, then make sure to do two or three rounds, and you won’t be disappointed.

Longer Stronger Anti-Breakage Hair Mask

Now I LOVE a good hair mask and this seriously hydrating number really delivers the goods. Admittedly, I probably have used the hair mask with more frequency than the conditioner. Not because I don’t love the conditioner (I do and it’s excellent), but with the neglect, my poor hair has endured, it really has needed the extra hydration and nourishment provided by the aloe vera, jojoba, and avocado oil contained in this product.  After a month of using the hair mask twice a week, for 10 minutes a pop, I can say my hair is reaping the benefits. This hard-working mask has left my hair feeling incredibly soft, shiny, and with much fewer knots. It’s performed what I can only say is magic on my hair leaving it strong and restored. Now with any hair mask, you can apply from root to ends, but if you’ve got super fine hair or you’re prone to getting a little greasy at the roots, just apply from the nape of your neck down to the ends.

Thicker Fuller Volumising Dry Shampoo

Grow’s Volumising Dry Shampoo is really like no other dry shampoo I’ve tried before. Not only does it refresh your hair a few days post washing, but it also doubles as a texturising styling product. I found that this pocket rocket of a product came in handy on day two or three when my hair was limp and was well on it’s way to resembling an oil slick – it basically resurrects your locks back to their former day-1-wash glory! What I think I loved most though, is that this product has an aerosol-free pump dispenser and gently mists the targeted area, distributing the powder evenly. I tend to have a problem with dry-shampoos clumping (ew), but to my surprise, there was no unsightly residue to be seen – just volume that the cast of HairSpray would envy!

What have others said?!

Lucy – Priceline Brand and Media Manager

Thicker Fuller Volumising Dry Shampoo

“I don’t believe my hair has ever seen so much volume in its life! I think they could see my hair from space with the volume I rock after using this product. It was also a total lifesaver when it came to helping with any greasiness. The first time I picked this product up was a week after washing my hair – and it worked serious wonders!”

Thicker Fuller Root Volumiser Spray

“You might be seeing a trend here… But I really dig voluminous hair. This really helped with lift and volume and was super easy to use, which I loved. This one is better to use on clean hair, as there are no dry shampoo properties. But it is GREAT after you’ve just washed your hair and it’s sitting all flat and boring.”

Thicker Fuller Shampoo & Conditioner

“I cannot get enough of the scent and texture of these products! Love Love Love! Also, another BIG plus in my books is the ingredients NOT in the GROW product range. They are all sulfate, paraben and silicon free, which is so important for the health of your hair long term!”
